  • I first used the train service this summer on my own whilst on holidays Belfast-Dundalk return to visit a friend and was reasonably happy with the price and service. Towards the end of our trip my (Ir...  read more »
  • The train station is about 10 minute walk from the city centre which is convenient! However it is very outdated and could really use a bit of a facelift!
  • This station is well in need of an major facelift. The toilets are very poor and need upgrading and the platforms cleaned more regularly. Many times I go to sit on a seat at the platforms and it is co...  read more »
  • Badly designed, when two or three trains come in at the same time the staff only open one barrier to let everyone through, possibly due to shortage of staff. Customers are rarely updated of delays over the PA system and the boards often read the wrong information when delays occur. The bar is quite nice with friendly staff but high prices make it difficult to recommend. The building probably cost a far bit to build however it really isn't maintained with dirty windows and signs of wear and tear everywhere.
  • As the main station for the city it hasn't had a facelift for many years. Its functional as a station I guess, but otherwise not worth the visit. Grand Central station (NY) or even Paddington have much more going for them. There is always a queue for the bank machine too. Needs thought out better,
  • Unlike rest of modern worlds rail system have to queue to buy tickets as well as manual ticket checks. No ticket machines. So make sure your there in plenty of time if buying ticket. Nice inside though.
  • Nice modern station, best to get on at Great Victoria for some trains at busy times to guarantee seats.
  • For being Central Station it's not very close to the city centre. Fortunately there's a bus route that takes you in to the centre. You can get on for free if you hold onto you train ticket. The station itself is clean and tidy. There's a shop and a cafe, but both are pretty expensive.
