  • An interesting site with truly stunning views when you reach the top. The entrance price is almost as steep as the walk up the hill...but probably worth it, if you plan to spend enough time here. You can see for miles and miles - all around the castle - fantastic views in every direction. The grounds are fun to explore too but there's not a huge amount to see other that some fairly unexciting caves and a pleasant wooded area. Take a picnic if the weather is fine and prolong your stay - you will get better value for money.
  • Fabulous ruins at Beeston. When we visited it was a clear and crisp winters day and the views from the top were stunning. The Staff in the shop and ticket office were lovely and very welcoming. It's a great place to visit and walk.
  • Quite amazing when you consider how old this place is and stunning views across the county, especially on a clear day.
  • The car park charge is a bit of a sting as there is no option but to park in the car park at the site. Even members have to pay it currently three pound. Most people seemed to be there approx an hour. Not much information around the main part of the castle but a small museum part that gives some of the history. Good views from the top. Plenty of seats inside to rest on. Has a small outdoor cafe next to the main site and a few seats and drinks available in the gift shop.
  • You have to have a good head for heights and be fairly fit as it is steep walking up to the castle with a steep bridge over a quite sizeable drop for the last part. The views however are amazing and well worth the effort. The grounds are lovely and with two outer walls to explore as well as the castle. There isn't a huge amount still standing but still definitely worth a trip, even if just for the views from the top
