  • I recently paid my first visit to Astley Book Farm and was really impressed. As well as having thousands of books to cater for all tastes, the food in the cafe is exquisite. Prices are a little high but I must say it is worth sampling. Car parking is adequate although you will need to go down a single file lane which can be tricky when cars are coming in the opposite direction.
  • Huge secondhand bookshop in old converted farm buildings. Well laid out in sections across many connected buildings. Has a restaurant for lunches and coffees. Throughout the bookshop there are easy chairs to rest in while reading books. Very relaxing, I could imagine spending the whole day there. Ample parking of the road. We had sold some books to the shop previously. They came out and selected the books from us and paid us what we consider to be a very reasonable price.
  • Farm Full of Books!! This second hand book shop is a fantastic selection of buildings, fitted out wonderfully that takes you on a journey through so many book sections that it feels never ending! I loved it. Their selection is better than impressive. The military history and SF sections - areas I'm well au fair with were very large and extensive. One knows they are bibliophiles when you find the section of books about books.... Had the soup and sandwiches which I enjoyed, the cafe was very busy for lunch, it's a destination but also there are so many book rooms that it's never cramped.
  • Cosy book shop that just seems to go on for ever! You will no doubt find a book on any subject here. They also buy books off you so it's a good way of allowing your pre-loved books a chance at being loved again.
  • With over 100,000 books old and new, a cafe, and sitting areas for reading. The Book Farm is perfect for book lovers and families. The staff are friendly and the locale and setting is cosy and perfect during any season.
