  • A very well kept park. Huge pond, area for the children to play, toilets, cafe, area where no dogs allowed. Great for family picnics. Visit and see for yourself.  more »

  • Great park with everything you need! Ducks and wildlife, plenty of feeding opportunities and there's food available from the information centre at certain times. Big, open and varied playground with lots of different things for different ages. A really top notch cafe with big menu, lovely ice creams and amazing service. Plus it's not too dear. There's also a bouncy castle sometimes and mini golf and it's quite a nice walk round the park. Plenty of free parking on all sides and on one edge there's a parade of shops and cafes which are good for brunch/lunch and getting supplies. What's not to love?
  • Nice to visit for a stroll. Easy street parking around the park. Nice flowers and lake with ducks. Has a cat sculpture near one of the entrances. There was also a real cat (pictured) where the cat sculpture is when I went. Not sure if it's a resident or a visiting neighbour.
  • Had a very nice time with the family, however, one of the geese abducted my youngest child. It took 3 hours of bartering with the goose for him to return it. Altogether a wonderful park but I would recommend you keep small children away from the geese.
  • Lovely park in an informal way. Great for walking dogs, but they are only allowed on one side of lake. Maybe just as well as the other side can be overrun with Canada Geese.
  • Water, the defining motif of this attractive smallish park ; the river Beck gently coursing through with lakes and pools teeming with water birds. A playground, cafe and other amenities here amongst the ornamental gardens, shrubs and a variety of mature trees. A pleasant ambiance permeates this well-tended park. A boast to the local council and certainly worthy of wider renown. An outstanding resource.
