  • The house and garden is well wort a visit. It has a cafe and adequate parking. Please note that it does not open Saturdays.
  • Beautiful secluded friendly. Great sawmill cafe
  • Really disappointed. We thought that £9 each to go around the gardens was far too expensive. The sunken garden was lacking in both colour and neatness. As for the rest, such as the woodland walk, it was no different than going for a stroll through the countryside, which you can do for free. Considering that we paid £12 each for a visit to Abbotsbury Gardens where we spent much longer and saw far more, the entry price to Mapperton is really excessive. I would not recommend a visit. We did not go in the house.
  • A brillant place to visit.
  • We managed to get in early when no one was around ...nice features but it's a quick visit ...don't expect to be there all day but we'll worth a visit. ..nicely kept. ..watch out for the chickens☺
