Sample the world-famous round sweet roll with a wide selection of sweet or savory toppings before heading into the actual kitchen where the baker performed her magic centuries ago. After enjoying your buns don't forget to visit the small museum downstairs. Very quaint and has a nostalgic smell.
Having had delicious home made soup and then a cream tea at the oldest house in Bath, we visited the museum in the basement there. It's very quaint. Well worth a visit.
Ode To A Bun! I visited a quirky place, it's name, was Sally Lunn, I popped in for a tasty treat, which took the shape of a bun, I realised a bun like this was very hard to find, My Bath Bun size was generous, it almost blew my mind! I loved the bun with cinnamon, in this eating house, All so very delicious, I was as quiet as a mouse, Because I was enjoying, each mouthful that I ate, To my next appointment, I knew I would be late, But, I just did not care, this bun & I were entwined, Here's to Sally Lunn, with you, I'm glad I dined!!
If you haven't been, go there! High tea kind of setting, old building, and delicious sally lunn buns (not like the NZ/Aussie style by the way)
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Sally Lunn's! The food was so delicious, I ate a Lemon Curd Bunn, and drank raspberry lemonade. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. I can't wait to go back!
I love this place. Sort of the best home cooked meal you can have in a restaurant. The bun never fails. Every Time with every kind of food it is always tasty. I always take some buns home with me. Try the cinnamon butter and the chocolate butter. Very tasty in a morning.
Sally Lunns is my favourite place to eat in bath, I only moved here 3 weeks ago and have already been 4 times with friends and family!! It is well managed and even when it's busy it never feels chaotic. A great place for a sweet treat or something savoury. Staff are always friendly and pleasant. I'm sure we will be back again soon!!
