Prior Park Landscape Gardens (NT), Bath

(4.6/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
How often do you get to visit a garden designed by a poet? Prior Park Landscape Gardens (NT) offers that experience set in a valley of no small natural beauty with views of the city of Bath. Literally the prototype of the "English garden," it has influenced the design of other such gardens throughout Europe. Only a handful of Palladian bridges remain in the world, and you’ll find one of them here--you can even walk across it. Relax in the verdant grass surrounding a manmade lake, complete with a tea shed. Stroll the nearly 10 km (6.25 mi) skyline to gaze at the natural beauty and check out Iron Age and Roman-era constructions. Finish off your visit with a picnic at the park; you can snag a rug at the boat shop if you forgot your blanket. • Despite the season we were able to walk around and gaze at the college at the top of the hill and the bridge. We followed the path that leads to a splendid view of Bath. Pity that the entrance is so dear 7 books.

  • Beautiful parklands, lovely architecture. The walk is so picturesque, with views at the top looking over the park and the city of Bath. I would advise that the park has steep gradients in places which...  more »
  • We came on foot from the Centre of bath. Only the entrance was opened on the Hill. A casual stroll to the gates of the Park took the minutes 40. However, for most Park so it was even better, we were going to the Hill, it was nice. Recommend to wear rubber boots or not sliding shoes without heel, if you travel during the cold season. Panoramic view of the Baht from a hill (from the manor), silence and enchanting charm. Below, at the second exit, you can sit at the tea party, there is a small, modest bufetik.
