The Lake District Wildlife Park
Located in one of England's most outstanding areas of natural beauty, The Lake District Wildlife Park shelters several hundred animals. Spread across approximately 10 hectares (25 acres), the grounds' natural enclosures allow visitors to observe both domestic and exotic species, including gibbons, zebras, deer, birds of prey, and a variety of reptiles. The park regular hosts falconry shows and lectures about rare breeds of domestic animals. Families with small children can take advantage of tractor rides, an adventure playground, and animal feedings, which occur at regular intervals throughout the day. In addition to picnic and rest areas, the park also contains a small restaurant and gift shop. Great Wildlife Park with lots of happy animals cared for by hard-working, knowledgeable people. A good variety of animals: Farmyard to Forest & the more Exotic. Animal feeding for the little ones & Keeper talks & Bird of Prey displays throughout the day, which keep everyone entertained. We did the Hawk Walk experience which was absolutely mind-blowing & highly recommended!! John our guide was excellent & allowed us to fly owls, a Harris Hawk & even a Hooded Vulture! As a special treat we got to hold a Bald Eagle, which was incredibly special & something my partner & I will never forget. I'd recommend everyone to visit & support this wonderful place.

Had a fantastic visit to this park. Very well laid out. Had fun "chatting" to the parrots who shouted hello back & also goodbye! John at the birds of prey show was hugely entertaining, fed the alpacas & goats & had a lovely lunch at the cafe. Would thoroughly recommend a visit. Loads for kids to do too.

Visited the wildlife park today. Excellent day out. All the animals kept in environmentally enclosures. Staff are very helpful. Great day out for adults aswell. Plenty of places to eat outside, so a good idea to bring your own picnic. We visited out of school holidays so it was lovely and quiet. When you watch the displays the animals aren't performing but are demonstrating their behaviour and how they survive in the wild. Well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed out visit this week, the park wasn't overly busy despite being the school holidays and I liked that. We really enjoyed the talks, especially the bird of prey talk. I loved how the gentleman spoke about the birds story and not just of the species well done guys!

Had a lovely day here with the family. The kids loved it and the bird of prey talks were brilliant, the man was a natural. The only negatives are there was no soap at one of the sinks, so had to walk back on ourselves to wash our hands and the kids wanted an ice cream but at £2.60 each a magnum, I said no chance, so we bought a box of 4 from the Co-op in Keswick on the way home for £2.50, so happy kids all round. But overall it's a lovely day out.
