  • Guy serving us was nice as he gave us a discount because we only had one hour left to skate. Looked pretty grim when we got to the rink, water lying in some areas (not an expert but assume this should...  read more »

  • The place looks a little run down and they only have one person on the front desk at peak times so there is a long queue. The condition of the ice was quite poor too even early on in public session. There are rules for no jumps or spins but this is not enforced. It seems the public session is also used by figure and hockey skaters for training so if you are a beginner its not so good when they cut infront of them or start spinning.
  • great place to see the local hockeymatches and also to skate on too
  • Is a great venue for the epl ice hockey hosting the Basingstoke Bison. And to the lower league team the Basingstoke buffalo. For the age of the rink its in an acceptable condition but could really do with a complete refurbishment. The staff are generally helpful and normally with a smile too. As for public skate sessions I can hardly comment as I don't get down often enough to pass judgement.
  • I've been skating here regularly for about two years now. The rink is better than some other ones I have been to around the country, though does occasionally have issues with water on the surface or the practice end not being visited by the Zamboni before the Tuesday evening session so is very rough ice. However, they have been working to improve the actual ice quality recently and it does generally seem to show. The coaches are great, the rink itself is a good size, the temperature it holds at isn't bad. I haven't really used many of the other facilities available. All in all a decent rink.
  • Very modern facilities.
