The National carriage museum at Arlington Court is certainly worth a visit if you are in the Lynton area. It provides a fascinating incite into the transport of the past. The gold 'speakers' coach whi...  more »

We popped along from Croyde as the weather was a bit unpleasant for surfing. Lovely surprise when we arrived. Fab grounds and the carriages were amazing. We had a lovely lunch as well. Great day enjoy...  more »

Have lived here for twenty years and my first proper visit to Arlington Court's main house. What have I been missing? The visit is exceptionally good value for your entry fee (if you are not an NT mem...  more »

  • A nice place. Some staff was very friendly and others a bit grumpy. They could do with a few more dog poo bins. We searched for ages until we found one. Later we saw that the two or three bins are marked on the map. Still, more would be better.
  • So much to see!! Very informative. History laid out in front of you. It makes you think of a previous generation, and made me quite envious. I could actually picture the family living together in the house. Made me want to step back in time. Loved it all. Will have a repeat visit soon!!
  • This is the closest NT building for me to visit. Large pay and display car parking. Small walk to welcome center. Nice staff. Disabled parking available. Small shop but well stocked. Small walk to house. Tea room is nice but can be packed near lunch time. There is additional seating just off main cafe. The Toilets are clean and are checked regularly. Large grounds to explore. With various lengths of walks. The gardens are very nice. There is a walk to the carriage museum. If you wish to go there then there is a shuttle bus that will take you up there. This doesn't run all year. The carriage museum is well worth a visit. The church is a nice quiet place and is very peaceful. A good day out. Large grounds for those having a picnic.
  • Beautiful location and great for families. Fantastic grounds and always beautifully kept. I had the best Carrot Cake ever at the cafe. Unbeatable.
  • Regular visitors to this National Trust. Sometimes visiting just the house, other times the carriage museum or church. So much to see on site. Friendly helpful too guides, lots of printed information in each room of the house. Nice cafe and shop.
