  • For all National Trust members a must if you are in the Barnstable area. Beware of Sat Nav. Stick to main roads.
  • Helped by the sunshine... long walk and then the cafe. Slow service and long queue this time but good choice. Much to do here whatever the weather

  • Beautiful house and gardens. Lakeside walk was a bit of a let down with little to see for the distance. Tea room staff a little disorganised but food nice. Watch out for the peacocks... they will steal your food given chance.
  • Beautiful house. The friendly staff are enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
  • This place is a very well kept secret! Don't be fooled by the outside, the interior is superb and a huge surprise. The carriage museum is so interesting and the horses are so sweet. A yum cafe and beautiful gardens surrounding it, a very good day out you must visit here!
  • Great place to visit. Interesting house and good walking on the grounds. Small tea rooms with a very limited selection of foods and drinks
  • Free parking is a plus £11 entrance fee is a bit much though!
