  • We just visited the gardens but it was a lovely walk in a surprising find we simply stumbled across it , next time I'm going to p,an better to give it more time
  • Went for a walk with family as this was its last opening weekend. In summer you could easily spend 2-3 hours here. But it was freezing and we whipped round in 90mins. The conservatory is immaculate an...  more »
  • Not been here for a long time, but enjoyed our visit. Quiet and peaceful. Nice little gift shop and the cafe has delicious cakes .

  • Pleasant enough. A work in progress. Almost £7 for about 90 mins to get round. Follies were interesting but the gardens have a way to go before they are finished. Conservatory is nice but not a patch on the one at the Horniman museum in south London. I'm glad I went,I enjoyed it, but would find it hard to recommend this unless you live locally-don't make a special visit to the area.
  • Nice place to visit for a quick walk.. Entrance of £6.95 is a bit too pricy I think for what you really get.. Would be great to have a bit more activities for kids...
  • Absolutely beautiful although its free entry to the park for northern college students. The college is fantastic too. Well worth a visit.
  • We had our dog with us so couldn't go in the official gardens but there are lots of lovely walks free of charge around the gardens. Just had to pay the £3 parking. But the house and gardens did look lovely
  • Expensive entry charges. Poor refreshment facilities. Gardens looking sadly neglected. Was a disappointment. Pity.
