Buachaille Etive Mor, Ballachulish
(5/5 based on 25 reviews on the web)
Climb one of Scotland’s most renowned and photographed mountains at Buachaille Etive Mor, the most popular of all the Munro peaks. Although its peak only reaches an elevation of 1,021 m (3,350 ft), this technical climb is definitely not for the inexperienced, as even veterans typically find the ascent difficult. This beautiful area, which offers plenty in particular for hikers and photographers, was made famous as a setting for the James Bond movie “Skyfall.” The climb itself takes five to eight hours, depending on your fitness. Using our world travel planner, Glencoe attractions like Buachaille Etive Mor can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.
