  • Lovely little Museum for those interested in WWII and especially the aircraft used at that time. Lot's of recovered plane parts, recreations and memrobelia of the time. You could spend a number of hou...  more »

  • My gut feeling that this would be a good attraction was right - while it is run by volunteers generally very interested in planes (and radios in a comms hut outside!), and the prime focus is on aviati...  more »

  • Lovely little place with lots of collected bits from WWll. A few large plane hulls. All carefully presented. A perfect stop in for an hour or two. No food but a coffee / tea machine. Some plane kits and lovingly made up kits for sale.
  • We made a spur-of-the-moment visit today (Amberley was full), and were very glad we did - a wonderful museum, so many fascinating artifacts and relics! The volunteer staff are all exceptionally friendly and more than happy to chat and answer any questions. Thoroughly recommend a visit.
  • This is an Aladins cave full of outstanding memorabilia from WW2 non of your usual restored aircraft what you will see brings home how brave the air crews of the allied and Luftwaffe were with some moving accounts of those involved including the bomb disposal unit at the Swansea oil refinery, there is also the Dakota that was used in the Band of Brothers. We took our 6 year old grandson who didn't want to leave we were there for 3 hours and were unable to take in all the different historical accounts so we shall return. The entry fee is £8 for adults and our grandson was let in for free, the staff all of whom are volunteers were friendly and very informative, one of whom makes book markers for children with a 2.2 shell attached to it all for free, and there is a small selection of items for sale.
  • Well worth a visit. Went there when members of the Bomber Command Association were visiting. There is a really cool radio Comms shed there too, with working vintage equipment.
  • Arrived, got everyone out of the car and went up to pay. They don't take cards. So put everyone back in the car and left as we didn't have enough cash. I'm sure the museum is great and a good reflection of all those involved, but unfortunately we'll never know! Get a card machine guys!!
