Where to stay in Bakewell

Consider a stay in one of the Georgian-style cottages that populate the town center. Shops and restaurants are readily accessible to centrally located B&Bs and inns. A country inn closer to the outskirts of the city provides peace and quiet, as well as a midway point between the town and the main attractions in the countryside, such as the restored halls and manors.

  • Excellent tour, 3 samples from the bar, an extra bottle while we were having the history of the brewery. Finishing off with a special barrel aged beauty. Very knowledgeable and passionate staff.
  • Not happy about the drop from 500 ml to 330 ml bottles. The result is to sell less not more. It would perhaps be logical to offer the stronger beers (>6% abv) in 330 ml bottles but not the entire range. An idiotic move by an idiot marketeer.
  • Not a visitor to the brewery but an infrequent online shopper. Very disappointed at the move from 500ml bottles to 330ml bottles. I don't recognise a comparable drop in price and anyway I like the bigger bottles.
  • A reasonably small Derbyshire Brewery that regularly delivers a decent drop
  • Inspired by a great brewery tour - lots of tasting, a story of a once-small brewer growing & lots of beers to buy too. A good day out, a great shop and some characters behind the bar.
