Bigland Hall Equine Group Reviews
We decided on a one-hour hack. We were really lucky with the weather and this place is really well set up to cater for families with youngsters and adolescents. Mrs Martin greeted us and after filling... more »
I did the three hour hack and had a great time. They checked that we were all safe in the arena before heading out onto the fells. There was a good mix of rugged terrain and country lanes so plenty of... more »
Took the kids here for a half hour ride on Figarro and Alfie and they loved it. Staff were really friendly and great with the kids. Would highly recommend if your kids love horses more »
Me and my boyfriend have rode here 3 times in the past week and absolutely loved it every time , I've rode Ray, Ruby and Flash , the staff were amazing and very helpful , we started off by doing a 40 minute lead rein the first time and then did a small lesson and a lead rein the second time , so we decided to do a lesson today and I felt like I've improved a lot in just an hour thanks to the lovely lady teaching me its such a shame we have to go home tomorrow I'm really going to miss riding but will definitely be comming back next year, i would recommend biglandhall for both beginners and experienced riders
Fantastic staff and lovely, well cared for horses. This together with a lovely picturesque setting makes this perfect for horse lovers.
Went riding with family. We did a lesson prior to trek, which worked out well as we were reminded of some basics and got used to quirks of our horses! Then 1hour trek, half on road and half through woods. I'm 16st (105kg approx.) and was accommodated OK. Children enjoyed the trek as did parents.
Lovely riding centre with very helpful, enthusiastic staff and a large selection of horses and ponies to ride. Beautiful views on the rides but steep and stoney paths so slow going on the 1 hour ride. Liked the half hour induction lesson to test riding capabilities. Helmets and boots available on site.
I took my daughter to Bigland Hall Equestrian for her birthday day out with her friend. They did the half day ride while I had a long snooze in the car! Both girls have their own horses but fancied something different and I had everything crossed that they wouldnt be disappointed. Thank goodness they werent, they absolutely loved it! they said the scenery was beautiful (teenagers showing an interest!??) the horses were brilliant, the ride was fantastic and Bigland couldnt have done anything else at all to make it better! The girls' abilities were checked out in the indoor school by the senior instructor before they were allowed out which was very reassuring, and each rider was matched with the right horse before leaving. Whilst the girls were out on the ride, the yard was really busy, the horses are really well looked after and look extremely fit and healthy. Out on the ride the horses are active and totally switched on and manageable-as opposed to switched off as in many other places where the horses are used to the same old same old trails and paths. The girls said the horses all had as much fun as they did! Really pleased I booked here and we would definately go back. Thank you Bigland Hall Equestrian!
