  • One of the guides at Alloway told us about the Jolomo exhibition, otherwise we would never have known about Rozelle. It is a very short diversion off the road into Ayr, signposted once you are close. ...  more »
  • Visited the McClarin gallery for an exhibition of the Scottish artist John Lowrie Morrison. Large gallery space and not very crowded on a Sunday. This was a very pleasant browsing experience.  more »

  • Always something interesting on show. The grounds are full of wildlife and birds - a good place to see jay and nuthatch. After your walk, the cafeteria will provide delicious hot chocolate and superb cakes at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit.
  • Loved the carvings of first world war soldiers and the representation of the trenches , overall quite moving well worth the visit and close by is Robert burns museum and Ayr
  • Great place to go rain or shine. Lots to look at and plenty to take your interest. Gives you inspiration in life. Gardens that surround the house have many walks and a lovely duck pond. Highly recommend for a great day.
  • Visited here to see the Alexander Goudie collection of Tam O Shanter pictures. Absolutely superb artwork. Well worth a visit. Also lovely wee tea room. Highly recommended
  • Located in a mansion house in a lovely park near the Burns birthplace cottage. We visited the fascinating exhibition of 54 stunning paintings by Alexander Goudie inspired by Burns's poem Tam o' Shanter. There is also an interesting display of museum objects related to Burns and the poem. There is also a tea room, with an attractive courtyard.
