  • This is a few steps away from Avebury so you can see a number of historical 'Wonders' in one day. Well worth getting on your walking boots and exploring the area

  • A great walk along the avenue and you can feel the stones unlike in Stonehenge. Worth a visit
  • Magical...could sit for hours and ponder how & why 🤔
  • West Kennet Avenue should be seen in conjunction Avebury Stone Circle. There is a small area, at the southern end of the avenue, by the side of the road for parking. A gate at this car park can reach the start of the avenue. Alternatively, you can walk the avenue from the Stone Circle end as well. These ancient stones create an avenue to Avebury Stone Circle, but are definitely worth a visit and provide some great opportunities for some interesting photos. Note this field is used for grazing cattle and if there are young calves around, it probably best to avoid taking your dog.
  • Beautiful fields to walk. With an enormous field of dandelions!! My 96yr old Nan's dream lol!!
  • Not as spectacular as the stones in the village but approaching from this direction is a must for visitors who've never been to Avebury before.
