  • Friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. Vehicles easy to drive but challenging terrain. Recommended for anyone who likes the idea of driving a tank more than enlisting in the military. Earplugs would be wise though.
  • ***DO NOT GO!!!*** TAKE THIS WARNING!!!*** Where do I start? ABSOLUTE RIP OFF & COMPLETE CON probably covers it best, but I'll give you a bit more info about the brutally disappointing fiasco of an experience we had. For a special birthday we organised 11 of us to go tank driving at no small cost £800+, for 2 groups of people in 2 tanks, some paid for driving experience £120 others paid for passenger £20. ON THE DAY - we arrived having driven from Edinburgh to Dundee (they knew this) we were informed **ONE OF THE TANKS WAS FAULTY and had BROKEN DOWN THE DAY BEFORE, so there was only 1 tank available for all of us. They took half the group for a COMPLETELY SHODDY archery "experience" which is not what we had paid for or travelled from Edinburgh for. Meanwhile, the other half of the group in the 1 tank they had provided, were stuck in **ANOTHER FAULTY TANK, only one of the drivers managed to complete their driving experience. ***BOTH TANKS FAULTY!!!!*** So the entire group ended up doing the dreadful archery experience, BUT we had been advised several times by staff we would all be refunded for the tank experience. After being there for 2.5 hours the people who had paid £120 to drive a tank were then offered 10 minutes in a 2 man tank (absolutely not the experience we paid for), basically so they could say they offered an "alternative" to avoid returning our cash to us. When people in our group understandably declined this "alternative" and requested we be refunded the owner suggested this was a suitable alternative, despite the BLATANT DIFFERENCE. We left the ramshackle operation with advice from the owner that we were to contact "the office" (his wife) regarding the refunds. Needless to say, WE WERE NOT REFUNDED AT ALL!! ONLY 1 PERSON GOT THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE THEY PAID FOR, **HALF THE GROUP DID NOT SET FOOT IN A TANK*** We received no refund, no apology, they spouted their T's& C's at us with a blatant disinterest in customer satisfaction. They kept our money. After all the planning and effort put in to arrange a special birthday, we were left beyond DIAPPOINTED & COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF****TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE :(
  • I had the "pleasure" of visiting Tank Driving Scotland for a friend's 30th birthday on 22nd May 2016. Only the name didn't quite ring true on that particular day I am sad to say. Not everyone who was booked in to drive a tank actually got to drive a tank on the day due to the first tank having a repeated mechanical failure and breaking down, at least once per lap of the course. Stuff happens, things go wrong. Everyone knows this, but the young guy taking us out in the tank even mentioned the fact they had experienced problems with the tank recently. So why not have the spare tank sitting waiting, just in case I can only wonder. After much discussion with some obnoxious guy who seemed to be "the boss", the spare tank was brought down. We stood admiring the new tank as the next group climbed in in front of us as we had, through no fault of our own, ran over our allocated time slot. To be fair to the two younger guys taking us out in the tank and for archery, they were decent and really apologetic, probably being massively embarrassed at working for such an unprofessional business. Whilst the other group were out in the spare tank, we had a shot at the archery which was actually really good fun. But it wasn't Archery Scotland we visited that day, it was Tank Driving Scotland! After the archery, I am glad to say the birthday boy was given a shot driving the spare tank but we had to leave - it was a Sunday and people had other commitments and we couldn't stay there all afternoon! At least 2 of our group didn't get a chance to drive a tank, with another driver not even getting half their laps in. Again, all through no fault of our own. When the issue of refunds was raised with "the boss", I understand he was very unsympathetic, unprofessional and outright rude and indeed, at the time of writing we have 2 people £120 short thanks to Tank Driving Scotland NOT offering refunds. I categorically will not be back and nor shall I be recommending it to anyone else. 1 star, only because the archery was fun....and no stars wasn't an option.
  • Very disappointing experience, I have used Tank Driving Scotland and Galloway tanks, and the experience at Galloway was far and a way better. Not impressed with Tank Driving Scotland at all. AVOID.
  • Unfortunately very poor experience and customer care. I didn't get my tank experience after hanging around for 2.5 hours and even though I understand equipment breaks down how it was dealt with on the day and afterwards was very poor. I also don't appreciate having to ask a number of times before being given access to water, the facilities on site need huge improvement, staff said they'd sort a refund then the owner said no. I'm left totally dissatisfied and a £120 out of pocket!
