  • It was suggested we visited Thornbridge gardens for something to do without the kids. I didn't have much choice and we were off. Glad we did though, bumped into a great chap, talked to be about Thornb...  more »
  • I visit the gardens regularly during the summer. Pity they are not open all year but it just makes it all the more special when they do open their doors. I visit to buy the plants which are home grown...  more »

  • Found this jewel of a place, just off the Monsal Trail. Apart from having their own brewery within the estate,it has a walkabout garden (with entrance fee). It's free to get into the estate via the teahouse/restaurant that has fantastic furnishings and toilet facilities.
  • Beautiful gardens to walk around with plants to buy and a cafe. Lovely to stroll when it's sunny.
  • Stunning Venue! The pictures on the site do not lie. We were here for a wedding and were not disappointed. Plenty of character and the perfect setting for an elaborate party or wedding. The food was amazing, am still thinking about it 2 weeks later.
  • Recently attended thornbridge hall for a wedding! It is beautiful! The old English hall is a great gem in the middle of the Peak District. They have a modern reception area which is also very beautiful.
  • Went on a trail leaders course with the CTC around bakewell and thornbridge in may 2015 and had a great time. The views and surrounding countryside is beautiful and I had a fantastic experience. I want to go back soon!
