Thank goodness we only paid the groupon discounted price. The only thing we enjoyed was the train and big play area (other end of the train line). There was a table labyrinth(where you roll a ball aro...  more »

  • Excellent for families. Kids loved the outdoor equipment and they have added more since last visit. Train always popular, and great playground. Lots to do. Great shows on inside and sometimes at no extra cost. Fun pantomime at Christmas time. (Free). Definitely recommend and reasonable price. Especially great when weather warm but good anytime.
  • The day was good to start.. We booked the low ropes and the kids had an hour from 2pm that they were looking forward to. At 2pm they got to the ropes. They donned on the gear. Then stood waiting in the windy tower waiting to go on for 40 minutes!!! There was a lady ahead who had lost her footing and hurt her foot. There was nobody there to assist her, the lady helping with the kit was desperately trying to seek help from the attendants. The attendants were manning the zip wire. The injured lady sat on the ropes waiting for 30 minutes. Finally the high rope attendant came and helped the lady down. Her poor daughter was really upset and was left stranded until her mother was 'rescued' then she had to shuffle her way back to the start. Thank goodness it wasn't a head injury. I was really surprised at the lack of support- surely there are regulations!!! My kids got one quick go around, being hurried forward by the rope attendants who were keen to move them on before the next group arrived! I must admit I was pleased that the attendants were now around and helping! I complained to the ticket lady about the lack of attendants, who shrugged her shoulders. Complaining to reception wasn't that helpful either. We were told that an ambulance was called.. Apparently a one off!! I hope so!
  • Lied to by entrance staff about ability to add another adult onto family membership at a later date. Ended up with a family member with option of paying daily entrance price or comparatively expensive single person membership... paid for day and decided that we wont come back. Activities were enjoyable but food from cafe not very well cooked - kids refused to eat it. Shame to leave with such a bad feeling about the place after several years of visits. Update: on complaint their central office have offered to sort this out, apparently the staff were out of line in this instance. Should you end up in this scenario feel free to show them this!
  • We have annual membership and quite frankly won't be buying it next year. Today we visited and stood like idiots at the desk, membership card in hand while the young staff manning the desk completely ignored us while serving people both sides of us that had arrived after us. One of the young girls even made eye contact but offered no apology. You very much get the feeling that you are treated as second best while other visitors have there cash in their hands waiting to pay. Also on the way out (considering you have to walk through the gift shop to exit Conkers) our three children chose gifts out of the shop but nobody was manning the shop at all. There was a sign saying to 'ring the bell' but there wasn't one. Needless to say, after standing about for ages we put the items back and left. We had one very happy four year old who has additional needs and didn't understand why he couldn't have his toy. This caused a very unnecessary meltdown. Maybe if all the staff were older than school children it might be better!!!!!!.
  • One of the best outdoor spaces I have visited for a long time. I took my 2 yr old and 5 yr old and they loved it. Space for picnics, free assault course, lovely walks and the treetop walk is excellent.
