Wimpole Home Farm is an 18th-century model farm located at Wimpole Hall, Arrington, Royston, Cambridgeshire, England, and operated by the National Trust. It is one of 16 Rare Breeds Survival Trust approved farm parks.

Originally built in 1794 as a model farm by Sir John Soane for Philip Yorke, 3rd Earl of Hardwicke, the farm today displays a collection of farm implements and is home to a number of rare breeds of farm animals.

  • Absolutely love this place. Glorious gardens (check the hidden garden!), good and not expensive restaurant, shops and plenty to do with kids. The farm hosts several animals, for the pleasure of our daughter, to help preserving traditional breeds. There's also a nice playground. The actual mansion looks lovely from the outside, but we still haven't visited the interior. If you can make it during the lambing season, that's a target remarkable experience.
  • Great day out. Seems to be plenty going on. If you are a National Trust member definitely worth a stop. Quite a bit of space for the kids to play too. The farm Cafe was popular. Prices around the same a pub lunch. I think £27.50 family ticket (Summer 2016) is a bit high to look round a farm and gardens. It's £45 for the whole estate.
  • Love Wimpole Hall. Have been many times to meet friends. Last time was the 1940s weekend which was really special.

  • We visited with friends (and their children) on new years day this year. Though the drive way was full with queuing cars when we arrived, the queue moved fairly quickly and we had a really lovely afternoon at Wimpole Farm. There was more than enough for the children to look at and explore and everything was really well set up and maintained. A few great cafes too.
