  • After visiting Oban, drove down the coast to see what was there. Found this little NTS garden. If you have an hour or two to spare, you could do worse. The garden is lovely and well tended and the vie...  read more »
  • Wow - so glad we stopped here. It was a rainy and blustery day, but the garden calmed our souls and we completely forgot about the weather. There are so many amazing microcosms in a relatively small s...  read more »
  • This was our first visit to this garden and we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of plants and shrubs. We also loved the fact that our dog was allowed to accompany us - otherwise we would have ...  read more »
  • Visited these beautiful gardens on 24 April when many trees and shrubs were in blossom. Particularly impressive was how much work is done by so few employed gardeners. This spectacular Scottish National Trust site needs to be nurtured - and frequently visited. The views are also magnificent!
  • A hidden gem. Visited these on the 14th May 2016 and part of the National Trust of Scotland network, it is a credit to hard work of those who look after these gardens. Situated on the west coast, the gardens expand from the coastline back to the cliff which acts like a walled garden. The Rhododendrons and Azaleas are extensive & stunning. The grass borders were edged and cut to perfection, while the gravel paths meandered throughout the various ponds within the estate. Easy access to the low lying formal gardens for those with a walking disability and takes about 30 minutes to take in. The woodland area rises above the flat gardens which is accessed by a narrow (2 feet) gravel path that meanders through well established borders and wooded areas. Coffee, teas and food were next to the entrance in the nearby Loch Melfort Hotel which has stunning views across to Mull.
  • Interesting mix of plants and shrubs with some stunning sea views.
  • Splendid county, mountains,lakes & forests.
  • Fermoso xardín. Merece máis que a pena ir facerlle unha visita
