  • Im a big collector of crystals and this is somewhere I always have to come when in the Lakes. Great cheap little gifts, or larger more expensive collectible items.
  • We visit the rock shop every time we go to ambleside. Last time the kids saved their birthday money and bought quite few bits. They especially loved crawling around in the rock pool while choosing whi...  more »
  • We loved this shop so much and felt that everything they sold was unique. We bought a salt lamp which looks great at home. The staff were all lovely too. If you have children it's a must .

  • Well the fact we have been here 3 times says it all! My daughter loves this place and we can not come to the Lake District without a trip to the Rock Shop. Yes it's small but it's brilliantly done :)
  • Good if you are into rocks. There is a rock pit that kids can dive into as well.
  • Nice little shop for all things rocky/fossily. Kids seem to like it a lot for the pebble pit and the dinosaur trail. Worth a little visit.
  • its a bit niche but the kids absolutely love it and the 'do it all' package can keep them entertained for at least an hour!
  • Dinosaur experience wasn't really worth the £4.50 in my opinion. Alex was frightened by it and despite having only stepped over the threshold of the 'experience' before being frightened we were told "we don't give refunds. You wouldn't expect any other attractions to give a refund if your child was frightened there". This is true, but I would expect an age recommendation at such attractions.
