  • We had a fantastic time celebrating our anniversary. The welcoming was warm and acknowledging, just what we've come to expect from Amberley. We had afternoon tea and it was fantastic; the food was incredible and the service attentive and efficient. We'll always have fond memories of our time at Amberley, exploring the grounds after topped off a wonderful afternoon.
  • Amberley Castle is a beautiful hotel amidst glorious grounds. We stayed here with friends on the 27 August 2017 for one night and were looking forward to the experience. Our accommodation was lovely but there was a mix up initially when we discovered there was a problem with the booking. That was quickly sorted out by Russell the Duty manager, a pleasant young man who did his utmost to resolve the problem.Thank you Russell, you were very efficient and attentive. We were also given a complimentary bottle of champagne and drinks before dinner which was nice. Dinner was nice but given the money we were paying was a little disappointing. Breakfast was nice enough but little things like the cooked breakfast arriving before the cereal bowls had been cleared away was again disappointing. This place is expensive and we expected better! Our general feeling was that whilst the staff were pleasant and friendly, many were young and inexperienced and in need of direction. There did not seem to be anyone in the restaurant who had overall control and who were in evidence to direct and advise the younger staff. We live in France and have eaten in many lovely restaurants and stayed in beautiful hotels and paid far less for the experience. . Amberley Castle was disappointing.
  • Beautiful castle & gardens. We had afternoon tea in the queens room which was really lovely. Cakes & scones were delicious & the waiter was perfect. Very attentive, polite & friendly. Really lovely afternoon. I would definitely recommend it.
  • Staying a night here is a unique experience that is worth the price of admission. The common areas are cozy, well lit, and well tended. The evening fires round out the perfect ambiance. Bring a book or good company with you, and you may find yourself staying up later than anticipated. Make sure you wake up for breakfast, though. The eggs benedict was one of the best meals I had during a month of touring Europe. Hopefully you catch nice enough weather to walk the grounds and town as both are gorgeous.
  • Reliably great food (eaten there twice). Excellent attentive staff.
