  • Good play area for kids. Nice big scooter, skateboard and bike area. Has a lake, cafe, outdoor adidas gym and much more including a huge expanse of football pitches where young teams ( under 12s, 13s, 14s etc) play home matches. Overall, lovely place and I insist you visit!!
  • Great to go and feed the ducks/swans/geese with the little one. The play area for kids is of a high standard and there is an Adidas fitness section too. Nice little cafe and plenty of football pitches
  • Alvaston Park? More like dog excrement park. 2 times I've visited here; and 2 of those times I've stood in dog faeces. The most recent time, I was wearing my brand new Nike Air Max trainers which cost me £100, and I stood in a fresh one, absolutely disgusting. I threw those trainers in the bin immediately when I got home. The fact that the absolute slobs which visit this park can not even pick up after their dog puts me right off. The kids can't even enjoy the park because of the amount of waste; don't even bother looking at the lake, it's literally green, I don't even know how the ducks are alive. The tennis courts flaw has been pulled up and there is shattered glass everywhere.
  • Free parking and dog friendly, a good base for a walk along the river into Derby. Also has a bmx track and plenty of fields for playing games on. The park is well maintained and there are plenty of bins etc so the park is clean and tidy. Lake full of birds and fishing available if this interests you. At the price it is worth a visit! :)
  • Good play area for children. The cafe is also cheap and does some nice basic food. Take some bird grain to feed the ducks, geese and swans.
