Lots of options for different types of visits. Beautiful grounds for walks, dogs welcome but must be on a leash which is a shame but understandable as the deer can get extremely close. Interesting ven...  more »

  • Beautiful park. Good access for wheelchair users. Lovely extensions of gardens to play. Deer walking around, very beautiful place. The fast cafe offers soup of the day which was overpriced for £4.50 including a piece of bread. Soup did not taste good. Staff attentive and helpful.
  • Dunham Massey is a great place to visit if you want to stretch your legs and see some wonderful architecture at the same time. We visited in February so the house itself wasn't open - but that didn't stop us having a great day and enjoying the lovely winter gardens. The tearoom is a short walk from the house itself but served welcome snacks and hot drinks. There are lots of things to see including the intriguing Dunham Massey Water Mill. There is also a deer park in the grounds of the house that is a no-go area for visitors, but the deer have free roam and we were surprised at just how close they would come to us as we walked by. If you're a real ale fan then the village has it's own brewery, with their beers stocked in the visitor centre here and are well worth a try!
  • Interesting building, well worth a visit. Excellent grounds, fantastic for walking, changes as seasons come round are superb. Restaurant and cafe both very good. Not most beautiful N T site but my favourite.
  • Always a joy to amble through the grounds. Usually able to spot deer. Options of serious walking jogging or a casual amble with children. The garden are stunning ever changing and many volunteers help keep them looking beautiful.
  • Great place to go for a walk for the family. The deer walk around freely and they come quite close. Dogs are allowed but need to be on a lead in certain areas of the park
