Alton Towers Theme Park, Alton

Theme Park · Water / Amusement Park
England's largest theme park, Alton Towers Theme Park rarely disappoints visitors of any age. If you want your adrenaline to flow, hop on the Smiler, the world's first 14-loop roller coaster. Let go of gravity and fly under footpaths and past trees and rocks on Air. Get wet on Congo River rapids and ride the runaway mine train. Let the special effects of the 4-D cinema dazzle you, and view over 300 species of fish, including sharks and rays, at Sharkbait Reef. Bring your bathing suit if you plan to visit the waterpark here. There are cartoon-themed attractions for little ones, and you can book a room at one of the on-site hotels if you wish to spend the night. • Just returned from 2 days at Alton Towers to celebrate youngest child's birthday. We had a great time and enjoyed all the rides, but the food offering and quality of the food really needs sorting...  more »
  • Initially I was extremely impressed with the chevrons and social distancing observed by the public and enforced by the staff. I found it bizarre that rides were not cleaned after usage but the ‘heave....  more »
  • We met with some family today and that was the best part of the day! We went with the impression that sanitising and track and trace would be paramount. How wrong were we! Each ride we got on...  more »
  • Great family day out, enjoyable and so much to do and experience. Love each trip here for the thrills, only thing I would suggest is that people take their own food because the restaurants and food quarters are rather expensive, but I suppose that's to be expected. They do some fab deals on the ride photos as well, so you really can leave with some unforgettable memories of your day
  • Nemesis is hard to be topped, smiler is a classic and the park itself has so much character and more too it than any other park, really something for the whole family which Alton has always done best. Children friendly, a lot of attractions for the kids, many great thrill rides which are my favourite. The park is incredibly safe and the staff are great 100% recommend to go and the chances are you're going to want to go back.
  • Last time I visited here, we had a brilliant time. It's a great theme park, with some seriously good coasters!!! My personal favourite is Smiler, and went on it a few times. Wicker man was also very cool!!! Plenty here to fill out a full day. Nice grounds to have a picnic (If that's your thing?) and loads of brilliant rides. Will be heading back to Alton Towers at some point in the future.
  • F A N T A S T I C .... great time out But get there in good time Plan plan & plan again Oh & get to the car to go home early as there is a huge big massive Que to the monorail to get to your car .....You have been warned. But pay a visit , choose your rides a day before , pin point all your hours and where you wanna be within them in the resort . Again brilliant day , thanks Alton Towers
  • Great day out, even better when you get 2 4 1 entry on the vouchers. Wish the park wasn't so expensive though when it comes to eating and getting things but it's a theme park after all. Great for a day out and I loved the fire work display made it so much more worth it. Really like the dark experience on the rides
