Two surviving 1890s brick-built barrack blocks, a 1930s wooden barrack block from Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Church Crookham and Field Marshal Montgomery's 'barn' that house the museums military and local history collections. What a lovely museum it might be small but there is a lot for the kids to do .i think i had more fun than them you must give it a go .
We loved this place. It's small but the attendants and volunteers are so enthusiastic. A range of some impressive tanks, transport and weaponry, some great local history, and some really interesting exhibits. Go and have a look. You can't go wrong for the entry price!
Parked right outside in our 17 seater Age Concern bus. Ramps to museum. Staff really nice. lots of interesting stuff to play with or read/look at. Cafe rather fun with machine. Made an alright cuppa. Snacks too. recommend a visit.
