  • Beautiful small Jacobean house with fascinating historical connections to the gunpowder plot. National Trust with the original owners still involved. Lovely gardens and a great café. Well worth a visit.
  • A really great day out. The surrounding gardens are great on a Summers day!
  • Wonderful house and gardens. Learn about the history of the Gunpowder Plot and all the associated people. Volunteers very friendly and knowledgeable. Great restaurant with good choice of meals. Loads of parking. Gets very busy at times.
  • Lovely day out, well informed staff good food and drinks. Beautiful gardens and apples you can pick yourself and buy. Just lovely
  • Lovely place to visit. Staff know their onions and some can talk the hind leg off a donkey.
