  • Although it is the end of the season, the garden is still nice. The cafe and the food good. The staff smiley, friendly and helpful. We visited many years ago, before it was renovated and cannot believe the improvement. It is lovely it is still a working mill, it would have been a tragedy if it had disappeared into the mists of time. Long may it continue to prosper. Old girl. Elgin
  • Great place to see a fully operational (mostly Victorian era) woodmill. While there isn't a tour, you can freely wander around the place and see all stages of production. Kids loved it.
  • Great small place, chance to see working Victorian woolen mill. Much more intimate experience than New Lanark, and also free entry. Ah, and a great cafe.
  • Rich, living heritage site with a great cafe and brilliant tartan.
  • Not too tricky to find, but the GPS in our rental car only got us close... good thing there were good signs to direct us the rest of the way! We had a lovely lunch, and I was thrilled to find so many things to buy for Christmas gifts. Would love to come again!
