  • Great experience!! Loved the freedom to roam the estate and enjoy the gardens, and of course, the breath-taking views. I can highly recommend a visit but first get to know the history of the castle...  more »
  • Great place to explore. It's just received a grant for renovations so it's just in its early days.. it will be wonderful to keep going back and seeing how it's progressing. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Reasonably priced.
  • Well it's been 35yrs since we visited this place and looks very different to the once splendid historical building. That said I have to say how impressed I was by its new lease of life. There are many milestones to cross. But what a great great treat. Camping in a castle how cool a little petting farm fab price of entry gives everyone a chance to see this wonderful place espially families with a couple of kids I have to say I'm rather smitten. If I lived here I'd definitely be volunteering well done
  • Always wanted to look around the castle and now it is open to the public. It will be great to see it when all the restoration work is complete. They are doing a really great job so far.
  • Lovely castle. I used to go there with my parents many years ago. I have old photos of it. Will be taking my own children next time we come to North Wales on holiday.
  • A great day at the medievil festival at Gwrych Castle and gardens. First watch knights armour themselves and duel in the sword arena and then the jousting, followed by a walk through beautiful gardens and the castle grounds. Plenty for the kids to do, see and get hands on with. Its a great way to bring history to life for the kids. Well worth the £15 entrance fee for a family of 4.
