  • I did not expect this castle to have a lot to offer but I was pleasantly surprised. It has a lovely garden and a dovecote. It has no remains of its decoration or furniture but it is still lovely and charming. I highly recommend to visit this castle.
  • £11 for 2 people is REALLY expensive, with no student discount. There is fairly little information about the castle availible for free, and the guidebook is an extra £2.50. So if you're really interested in the castle and broke like me, you'll need to be doing some googling as you go. That being said, the castle was lovely, and the grounds beautifully kept, definitely worth a visit, but not a cheap day out at all!
  • Spent a good chunk of the afternoon here. Me and my mum have Historic Scotland membership and live nearby so thought we'd check this castle out. Had a great time exploring, and particularly lover the doocot. The cafe service was great... Fantastic homebakes!
  • Essentially a fortified house with gardens, very different to the likes of Edinburgh or Stirling castle, but absolutely worth seeing. My favourite part was actually the Dovecote, a great photo oppertunity inside looking up at the ceiling. A great place to visit, a lovely cafe which on a nice day you can sit in the gardens and enjoy the surroundings, great tea and home made cakes.
  • Place o historic importance once 👍
