We took a taxi to the Blue Souk from the Sharjah art museum. It is a large building (two actually) joined by a bridge. Lots of great jewelry, we bought some!!!

A very good arena for the purpose of buying quality at an affordable rate. Interiors and great, makes you feel at a palace. Cooperative sellers and good quality products everywhere. A delightful place to visit.
The very traditional souq in uae is central souq in sharjah.
The architecture is amazing... borrowed concept from the russian constructivists amalgamated with vernacular architecture of UAE with a little bit spice of Islamic motifs and calligraphy.
I thought this was Sharjah Gold Souq but apparently it's Central Souq. The stores found inside are mostly gold or jewelry stores and a few electronic and groceries in between. We always pass by here going to the fish market because of the air conditioning and it's depressing sometimes to see closed stores left and right and the ones found on the second floor can barely be seen. I've personally never bought any jewelry here but the prices have significant difference compared to the ones found on Dubai Old Gold Souq. I believe a better marketing and putting some attraction on this place can make it a better place to visit.
Very big and nice market .. just buy from syrian shops .. like Al-anaqa ..
