Al Bithnah Fort, Fujairah

(3.8/5 based on 40+ reviews on the web)
Built in 1735 as a strategic watchtower and long considered a major defensive fortress, Al Bithnah Fort is now an excellent place for surveying the stunning landscape from a high vantage point. Look for the intricate decorative designs that still adorn the remaining walls. Bring your camera, as the views of the surrounding area and the markings on the walls beg to be captured. The fort doesn't get particularly busy, so leisurely visits can be arranged on a whim. • We on the way to the Diva. I think not so very far from Fujairah, without passing go. I thought typical Arab Fort, should, the Fujairah mountains in the background, looks very beautiful.

  • No proper road to go there. Its in the middle of no where. Main gate was open with a guard who does not bother to come out of his room. Fort gates are closed. You cant get in to see but you can take couple of photos from outside..
  • Really interesting place. Visit it by the way to Fujairah
  • Unfortunately the fort was locked up when I was there so I was unable to visit inside but very interesting to see the local water management systems
