  • It is the first (and only) Museum devoted to women in the Arab world. It describes the evolution of the status of women in the UAE, with a large part dedicated to education and the various Emirs .Act. Very interesting. One small problem: it is essential to understand English, because everything is in English (and Arabic). It is also quite difficult to find in the souk, but worth the effort!

  • I've visited the Women's Museum in April, it was a nice visit. They have much recent and background information about the development of the women in the Emirates. The only disadvantage for me was that the women who gave the tour only gave information about the gallery on the ground flour. When I got to the other galleries I didn't got any information about what I was looking at, especially for the third floor it was a pity. The third floor was dedicated to a female poet with only arabic texts and without any English translation.
  • This is the best, most authentic museum you can find in Dubai! Learn about the heritage, culture along with the role of the women and increasing importance outside the family as well. You will find traditional dresses, jewelery, burquas, and artworks all done by Emirati women. There is always a volunteer tour guide taking you around and explaining everything. The entrance fee is 20 AED but absolutetly worth it, and ask them for the Arabic coffee and dates as well!!
  • Interesting small museum
  • For a westerner would be an opportunity to find out about the contribution of local women to society in this part of the Arab peninsula.
  • Interesting Museum for all those who are interested in the history and the å UAE.
