The Karama Market, Dubai

Flea Market Shopping
Experience a bustling shopping district at The Karama Market, a collection of independent vendors and stalls lining a lengthy pedestrianized street. Full of textiles, leather, replica clothing, and souvenirs, this market represents an alternative to the pristine, sprawling malls of the city. Make sure to haggle for what strikes your fancy, and take your time. Some sellers here can be pretty pushy, so slow things down to make sure you come away with something you actually want. It helps to research beforehand the stalls offering higher quality service and products. Arrange to visit The Karama Market and other attractions in Dubai using our Dubai vacation route planner.

  • Friendlier option to the Deira fish market. Prices are higher but they will clean your fish for you so you know you are getting what you paid for. Also houses vegetable and fruit shops. Gets crazy busy on Fridays in the morning which means parking is a challenge. Close to the best south Indian restaurants so grab a good breakfast before getting your weekly groceries.
  • The best market for fresh fishes. Very neat and clean. Traditional style market. A must see place in Dubai also
  • Most modern way of how a market should be. All task of buying fish seems to be flaw less. And will get fresh and fixed price fishes

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
