Gift & Specialty Shop
Survey the rainbow of colorful fabrics on display at Textile Souk. Cotton, embroidered fabrics, and raw silk are among the various cloths found at the market. Decorative extras to adorn outfits, such as buttons, lace, and sequins are also in abundance. Even if fabrics aren’t your thing, consider taking the water taxi to the market, which gives you panoramic views of the surrounding neighborhoods. If you do take a taxi, remember to negotiate; prices are rarely static. Work out when and for how long to visit Textile Souk and other Dubai attractions using our handy Dubai itinerary planner.

  • I came to see the area and was not expecting to buy anything. Nice to walk through, but the sales folks, while nice, can get a bit borderline harassing. After awhile I just pretended I was on my phone...  more »
  • This is a great place to buy your Kashmir shawl, if you don't already have one! The traders can be a bit of a nuisance as they tend to wave the shawls under your nose! Hard bargaining is needed here, ...  more »
  • We were several times in the textile Souk during our vacation in Dubai, and every single time we were greeted by very pushy salespeople. It can be what it is, one can just dismiss them, but we were "captured" by a gut that would ikæde me an Arab style of dress, and it went as fast as I reached not to say no, and just go ahead. ... Inside the store, I tried so dress suit, had taken photos and it was actually also a very fine experience. At the same time, he tried to sell us everything, and it ended up that we "surrendered" us, and bought a 100% real cashmere scarf that we would take home to our daughter. It was also nicely, certainly ... the only problem is that after we got home, we have found that it has never seen the shadow of cashmere wool. It is impossible to see through when you are there and you know .... So therefore: Roof beware opposite the very pushy salespeople, and don't buy what they allege is kashmir. It CAN of course be there are other sellers who have genuine kashmir. It is possible. We were just unlucky ...

  • A typical Dubai market with a lot of crowd and no parking space. RTA is usually very strict in these areas. Prices are reasonable and variety is worth visiting.
  • Very hot place good for souvenir shopping not much quality stuff available
  • Definitely worth a visit if you are from out of town. Store owners are willing to bargain with you on the price. You will get approached often to enter stores, but just politely decline and keep moving. I would also recommend catching an abra for 1dh across the creek. We purchased a beautiful kaftan, handmade leather beaded flats, soccer jerseys, beautiful handmade beaded scarves, and hand made clutches.
  • It's good and economical
  • Another of Dubai's many souks. This one is dedicated to textiles so expect to find many traditional and non-traditional textiles.
