Textile Souk, Dubai
(3/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
Survey the rainbow of colorful fabrics on display at Textile Souk. Cotton, embroidered fabrics, and raw silk are among the various cloths found at the market. Decorative extras to adorn outfits, such as buttons, lace, and sequins are also in abundance. Even if fabrics aren’t your thing, consider taking the water taxi to the market, which gives you panoramic views of the surrounding neighborhoods. If you do take a taxi, remember to negotiate; prices are rarely static. Work out when and for how long to visit Textile Souk and other Dubai attractions using our handy Dubai itinerary planner.

  • After visiting the Gold Souk and Spice Souk I took the Abra (water taxi) across to the Textile Souk. Lovely short trip across the water for 1 dirham. Don't miss it!!! And then you dive into the Souk w...  more »
  • In the heart of the old town is the souk of tissues. Negotiating cashmere pashminas are at 20/25 euro. The sellers are a bit boring but just don't give it too much weight. Be brave and ask one of them do to try the typical dress and hat for men is very nice.

  • It's like India, majority textile souk and a few souvenirs. Located near the river Creek, ideal for a walk in the late afternoon. The tissues of beautiful pieces but to know a bit for the quality. Haggling to buy.

  • A typical Dubai market with a lot of crowd and no parking space. RTA is usually very strict in these areas. Prices are reasonable and variety is worth visiting.
  • Very hot place good for souvenir shopping not much quality stuff available
  • Definitely worth a visit if you are from out of town. Store owners are willing to bargain with you on the price. You will get approached often to enter stores, but just politely decline and keep moving. I would also recommend catching an abra for 1dh across the creek. We purchased a beautiful kaftan, handmade leather beaded flats, soccer jerseys, beautiful handmade beaded scarves, and hand made clutches.
  • It's good and economical
  • Another of Dubai's many souks. This one is dedicated to textiles so expect to find many traditional and non-traditional textiles.
