Gift & Specialty Shop Shopping
Do some shopping Arab style at Souk Al Bahar, an indoor market combing intricate traditional design with modern retail shops. The long, high stone corridors house over 100 stores and restaurants, all with highly stylized interiors evoking an atmosphere of bygone eras. You'll find traditional handicrafts and popular regional perfumes here, alongside some of the leading international brands in furnishings, fashion, and technology. Sit in one of the cafes on the waterfront promenade and take in views of downtown, including the orchestrated fountain and the gargantuan skyscraper. Put Souk Al Bahar into our Dubai vacation generator and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
