Ski Dubai, Dubai

4.1
Hit the slopes at Ski Dubai, a huge indoor ski resort. Opened in 2005, the park's claim to fame is its 85 m (279 ft) indoor mountain, offering five trails of varying difficulty. Younger visitors or those less inclined to ski can enjoy the large snow park with attractions including sled and toboggan courses, climbing towers, and an ice cave. Round out your frosty adventure by paying a visit to the resident penguins (you'll need to reserve in advance to meet them face-to-face). Suitable clothing, along with ski and snowboarding equipment, are all available, and included in the entry price. A visit to Ski Dubai represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Dubai trip itinerary builder app to plot your vacation.

  • Good facilities and well ran. Geared towards tourists so a little over inflated if you live in Dubai.  more »

  • Beautifully created in the desert Dubai! Temperature is 0 degree. It's very very cold. They do provide clothes and you don't have to carry anything. But still it's better you carry your own gloves as well. It's good to have it. My family enjoyed it. We spent 4 hours at this place. Kids will love this place. You are allowed to carry a camera inside, and you don't necessarily need a cover. For Phones, you'll get the cover outside where you get your ticket and you can carry that as well inside. It's really a worth attraction in Dubai.
  • For an indoor ski centre, this was impressive. I booked the full slope and rides pass, including 1 hot chocolate, 1 meal (veggie options available too) 1 photo & penguin experience, thermal gloves (to keep) locker, ski wear, ski/pole/helmet hire, hand warmers, zip line etc. This ticket is approx £100, but, gives you unlimited access all day. Staff were good fun, the restaurant meal was decent, the snow quality exceeded my expectations. We really enjoyed the penguin experience. The Gentoo penguin, Pete, was amazing. The professional photos taken inside the penguin experience are a tad expensive. Note that you cannot take your own photos within the enclosure. There is a nursery slope at the base, with magic carpet, a blue half way up, easily accessible via the chairlift. If you continue up, there is a red and a (slightly) black run. The slope is reasonable length for an indoor centre. You cannot compare it to a mountain, so bare this in mind. Every so often, there are lessons taking place, so, having a day ticket, allowed us to avoid the slope when it was busier. It was -3°c to -°4c, so quite comfortable for us (we are used to Finnish Winters For skiing) Provided you wear a warm under layer & socks (preferably thermal) long sleeved top and a sweatshirt, a hat/beanie if you are not wearing the helmet, you should be okay for hours. I recommend the waterproof gloves, rather than the fleece type. You can take your camera/go pro on the slopes/rides.
  • This place is for intermediate and advanced skiers. You have to pay a lot of money just to ski for 2 hours? Only 2 of the four slopes were open the rest were closed for training for skiers for ski school. The employees weren’t so nice. And the slopes aren’t friendly for those who are beginners. They suggest you go to ski school but you spend two hours without evening going down the hills. Which are very small, and those hills aren’t open to people who know how to ski a little bit and are beginners, they are only open to ski school. Once you are finished with ski school they expect you to then pay another fee to do very high slopes. It doesn’t make any sense to pay over $200 American dollars just to ski for 4 hours. Also you pay to ski and you can’t do any of the other attractions such as the snow tubing, or the big clear ball that you go down the hill with. You have to pay extra for everything. They also don’t provide gloves and hats and they charge you double in their store for cheap gloves. Mine ripped with in minutes of being there. We will travel again to Dubai next year but will skip this place.
  • Everything was so we'll planned and the process from payment, rental to slopes was seamless. Definitely a unique experience to be able to Snowboard in the desert. All you need to bring is a fun attitude and some socks.
  • Happy that there is a place like this in Dubai, especially in the burning summer! It is great that you can arrive in shorts/slippers and simple rent everything you need there.. And forget about summer for an hour or two.
