  • It is a small collection of historic buildings with narrow streets, not particularly appealing. More interesting are the courtyards with nice cafes and galleries. There are also some mini museums for stamps and coins. Well you can combine it with the Dubai Museum, approx. 10 min. by foot. .

  • If you like to know more of the religion Musulamana this is the place, with many opening and you receive and is a very good to talk space. We loved the place.

  • Very pleasant, relaxed and informative in a very friendly atmosphere. The guides appeared to very much enjoy introducing us to their culture and were as open as they promised to being asked questions ...  more »

  • For first timers to Dubai, this is the best place to visit as they share with you the cultural aspects of the Emirati people. They hold a very open discussion about the Middle East people so you can ask all kinds of questions. Go for the full experience, with the lunch and photo sessions. Highly recommended.
  • Fantastic experience! Answered all my questions on life in the UAE and the intricacies of it's culture.
  • Nice walk but everything seemed a little bit empty. But nontheless you can spend a few minutes in here.
  • We enjoyed the little snacks, the great introduction of Islam and being able to touch some falcons. I felt the walking tour was really rushed and wished there was more time spent on what Emarti life was like before tourism sky rocketed. For ex. Talking about how men used to live in the desert, etc. There were many other buildings in the area but it was unclear if we were allowed to visit them or had to pay extra Otherwise its a bit in the middle of nowhere so if its a hot day make sure you take water and give plenty of time to find the location.
  • This was my favorite thing to do while visiting Dubai. Well worth the time and money and I'd recommend anyone so this. Sheikh Ahmed and his wife are lovely!

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
