Safa Park, Dubai

3.7
#22 of 46 in Parks in Dubai
Head to Safa Park to enjoy a bit of welcome relief from the bustle of downtown. Set over an area of 64 hectares (158 acres), the urban green space contains three lakes and many native trees and plants, which in turn support over 200 species of birds. Well-maintained lawns lead up to a hilltop panorama, offering a good perspective on the downtown development and all those skyscrapers. For a particularly peaceful experience, rent a row boat and ease your way out onto the largest lake. Put Safa Park at the forefront of your travel plans using our Dubai itinerary planner .

  • Grabbed some Wendys takeaway and went to the park. Really nice grounds that were immaculately kept and great views of the city skyline. Just ruined by everyone leaving their rubbish behind. There are ...  more »
  • Not a particularly good park but it does benefit from space if you want to throw a frisbee. That’s about the only positive I have to offer.  more »
  • Huge park. It toured almost all in one afternoon. There are games for kids, a place reserved for women, a couple of basketball courts where practice teens, soccer fields, and spectacular views of Dubai. When we went we were remodeling the Lake and it is still a great place. As against: is parking is expensive.

  • I really like Safa Park. But after the new construction of the water canal, some parts need remodelling. Very family friendly. The only comment is that parking is a nightmare. If you like weekend barbecue Safa Park would be one of my favourite recommendations.
  • Good park in Dubai. It's small but very relaxing place. Bring your young kids with you, kids will enjoy playing here. Good place to visit with family in the evening times. Walk and relax sometime under greenery.
  • A wonderful garden to be at. Good for kids to enjoy. Good for grown ups n family to have a get-together, barbeque evening with a panoramic view of Dubai skyline
  • 3 aed to enter. Really well maintained and lush garden to relax and enjoy some games with barbecue! Best to go in a group!
  • Nice for a view and cycling and jogging. The water at this place has a very unpleasant odour.... With dead fishes in it...it a nice place for running and cycling

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
