  • A rare moment of nature amidst the skyscrapers of Dubai. Gate 1 offers the mesmerizing greater flamingo nesting site and Gate 2 offers a plethora of other unique birds in a natural habitat. One can easily spend 30-40 mins at each site. The facility can be visited only by private car or a taxi, and has well kept basic amenities, and it's a free visit
  • If you’re a bird watcher you better visit this place. The only downside to it is lack of transportation and people don’t really guide you well. I had quite a bit of trouble getting here however all the effort and trouble was worth it. Check out the image I shared, where else would you see a Heron cat walking on water showing you it’s classic couture feathers.

  • Good to see. It only needs 10 minutes to view the place and take some nice shots.
  • Natural beauty but not able to enjoy much as all enclosed and have to watch from a distance

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
