MERCATO MALL was the first thematic shopping mall opened in 2002 in the heart of Jumeirah, Dubai residential area par excellence. It is a true spectacle to the view of visitors, for its architectural style Renaissance capturing the art of Italy with features Tuscan and Venetian, as well as French and Spanish romantic reminiscences. Their food courts are enjoyable and its restaurants, coffee shops and tea rooms, are of good standard. Mercato put in Dubai the best of Italy. Their stores offer brands of fashion, jewelry, electronics, and the prices are very competitive.

Great little mall... good cinemas that are generally less crowded than MOE. Has a great wood fired oven pizzeria in the mall. Highly recommended. Also, the PAUL coffee shop is very large and nice... usually quite lively.

It's a mini mall. Clothing and shopping is there. A cinema is there that is usually not crowded. OK restaurants. There's a supermarket and a Starbucks. And they sell pets in the basement. Probably worth staying an hour as there is not much to do there.

Nice Venetian village ambience, not too big that it tires you to cover all the stores. Store selection is decent, a bit upmarket(the Spinney's should raise a flag there). If you're tired of the typical Al Futtaim malls give this a try.

Beautiful and elegant design of mall spaces, spacious interior atrium, bright light, open and airy. Large selection of high quality stores.

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
