Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai

(4.2/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Visit Jumeirah Mosque, a place of worship and cultural center that places particular emphasis on introducing Islam to non-Muslim guests. Built in the late 1970s, the mosque represents a traditional Fatimid style of architecture, with tall twin minarets on either side of a large central dome. Join a guided tour to see the mosque's attractive interior and learn about the traditions and history of Islam in the country and across the region. As opposed to many places of worship in the city, photography is allowed here, so make sure to bring your camera. Put Jumeirah Mosque and other Dubai attractions into our Dubai tour planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Learn about the Islamic world and his religion is not easy but I have no doubt that the first step would be to visit the Jumeirah Mosque. Unique to Dubai, this beautiful Mosque is also open to non-Muslims every day except Friday. Although it is not necessary to book or be part of a package tour, to access the guided tour you must submit before 9.30 for and pay a 10 dirhams per person. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes during which you will be also offered dates and sweets accompanied by tea or Arabic coffee. The guides are members of the cultural association "Sheikh Mohammed Center for cultural understanding and are very prepared and available to answer any question you want to ask about the culture and religion of Islam. I recommend on the dress code, although they are equipped to provide a shawl and a tunic to the less observant.

  • We did not know about start time, so first day we missed it. Be punctual, or your are out of luck. Very impressive, and well worth the effort.
  • Lovely tour guide and brilliant speech. Quite information and interesting for beginner to learn Islam. 20 AED per person including water, dates, Arabic coffee, tea, and traditional pastries. It offers...  more »

  • Joining the daily guided tour was one of my top highlights of Dubai. The experience starts with a welcoming that includes Arabic tea/coffee and sweets. For the tour, the guide was very professional, engaging and fun. The tour costs DH20 and can be paid both in cash and with a card. Make sure you are not late and arrive before 10:00. Highly recommend!
  • One of the nice mosjid is Jumeirah masjid at Dubai in U.A.E
  • I really enjoyed visiting this mosque, not only because of its beauty (it's much more simple than the Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi, but still is beautiful) but also because of the tour they gave us to explain the Muslim religion for non Muslims. The lady was really nice and friendly and she explained everything we asked, in a tour that is also free! I really recommend visiting the Mosque while traveling on Emirates.
  • This has to be one of the most beautiful mosque in Dubai... we didn't get a chance to go inside but it definitely looked beautiful.
  • In April 2016 I visited the Jumeirah Mosque, including a tour/presentation about the Jumeirah Mosque and the Islam religion. The woman who did the tour was really good in telling about the mosque and the Islam religion. You could ask anything you ever wanted to know about the religion and she was very open about everything. The Jumeirah Mosque is really beautiful and definitely a must see if you are interested in religions.
