Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai

Categories: Shopping Malls, Shopping
Inspirock Rating:
4.3/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
Enjoy a memorable shopping trip at Ibn Battuta Mall, an enormous and interestingly themed retail center. Opened in 2005, the complex includes six separate areas, each designed in the style of a land visited by Ibn Battuta, the famous Moroccan Berber explorer. The architecture, color schemes, and styles of Andalusia, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India, and China are sensitively referenced across the expansive mall, creating distinct atmospheres. The tastefully decorated space offers more than 270 shops, 50 restaurants, and a multiplex cinema, but even if nothing takes your fancy, you'll enjoy seeing the impressively conceived interior design and the commitment to the cultural styles it seeks to imitate. • It is the traveler Ibn Battuta shopping mall. Monuments such as the China and Persia that he traveled there. Do not write for example Starbucks is written all over the place. As shopping malls in General is a super class called department store shopping malls and study compared to the 格落chi. You can visit the Mall, rather than enjoy the monuments.

  • And Mall consists of 5 different cultural themes, smaller than the Dubai Mall and easy to explore. Also think many locals to the supermarket and come for shopping and good handout like Dubai brand shoe was very good and the Arabian feel good. And helpful clerk.

  • Shopping Center "Ibn Battuta" is worth a visit not only (and not so much) for the sake of buying, although there is quite democratic prices and decent range, especially baby clothes. This is an amazing embodiment of the tales of Sindbade-Navigator. The Centre was built in the year 2005 and is named in honor of the famous Moroccan traveler Ibn Battuta, who lived in the fourteenth century. Hence the concept of the shopping center-each part is decorated in the style of different countries visited by Ibn Battuta: Egypt, Persia, India, China, Tunisia and Spain. Each Pavilion Mall has its own unique atmosphere, architecture and attractions. In the Chinese part of the Ibn Battuta Mall "is a 25-meter boat with sails-junk. In the Indian Pavilion, a huge figure of an elephant with a hop, etc. in each Pavilion full of shops and cafés, you can grab a snack while admiring the amazing Interior. Access to the Mall is also very convenient to Metro stations, although it is far from the center of Dubai.

  • All at same place. Relatively less Crowded over mall of Emirates. Good connectivity with Bus, metro n taxi. However you need to walk more. If they put more signs for information it will be more helpful. If u r staying at Discovery garden, JBR n Marina it will be quite near to you over mall of Emirates.
  • It is pretty convenient for those living in JVC and DIP. Only issue is, it is short on some popular brands, however, with the new extension I'm pretty sure they'll add a variety of shops that cater to every taste. The themed sections are pretty interesting especially the Tunisian and Chinese courts. Food options are great too. For those with kids, you got two play areas Chuck E Cheese and another mini theme park. Enjoy.
  • I'm sure the owner wanted a museum first and mall second, that's how this mall looks like and the best part is the admission is free. Learn about the adventures of Ibn Battuta while enjoying your shopping spree, or if your like me, the window shopping spree. There are a lot of sale on this mall so watch out for those!
  • Mall with a theme. Ibn Battuta mall is named after the first Muslim world traveller who documented his entire trip. At the mall they have recreated all the key highlights of trip which he found at various locations like Elephant shaped clock from India. Others from Science, medicine and astronomy. Mall is a really long and walking from one end to other is long but fun too to watch all the highlights of his travel. Good thing is Mall also has easy access from all sides with plenty of parking. My favorite is China court where there is a movie hall with 21 movies including an IMAX. And lots of nice restaurants (food court is on the other end of the mall). China court also has all electronics shops and bookstore which I visit often.
  • The newly-renovated areas at Ibn Battuta--especially the China Court--stand out as being vastly superior to the slightly older areas of the mall. We enjoy going here for the convenient location, easy parking, and wide variety of shopping and dining. Hopefully, all the construction work will soon be finished, and visitors can enjoy the different themed areas in all their splendor. (May 2016)
