Shopping Mall Shopping
Enjoy a memorable shopping trip at Ibn Battuta Mall, an enormous and interestingly themed retail center. Opened in 2005, the complex includes six separate areas, each designed in the style of a land visited by Ibn Battuta, the famous Moroccan Berber explorer. The architecture, color schemes, and styles of Andalusia, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India, and China are sensitively referenced across the expansive mall, creating distinct atmospheres. The tastefully decorated space offers more than 270 shops, 50 restaurants, and a multiplex cinema, but even if nothing takes your fancy, you'll enjoy seeing the impressively conceived interior design and the commitment to the cultural styles it seeks to imitate. Put Ibn Battuta Mall at the forefront of your travel plans using our Dubai vacation planner.

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.

  • This is my favorite mall in Dubai. Not as overwhelming as Dubai mall. But beautiful architecture with the different themes. Uncomplicated mall as it only has one floor. Overall it's more affordable than mall of the Emirates and Dubai malls attractions. Easy access via metro, many taxis to cater for shopper needs and just an awesome mall to take the family
  • Love this mall. A must visit place in Dubai. Fantastic interior designed on the theme of travel. Has everything for family to enjoy. Food, Cinema, Shopping, Fun Activities and much more. We loved laser photo and nail polishing kit.
  • This is one of the best malls I've ever been. Dubai is known for having big and beautiful malls. And this by far is the best I've ever been to. It feels like going back to the old civilization. They have 6 themes who are all impressive on their own.
  • One of my favorite mall in Dubai. It might not have a very unique selling quality like other malls but nevertheless it is a very good place with all the key essentials covered. A good shopping destination for all the home needs. I highly recommend it for people residing around this area but for other local residents it a must visit place at least once.
  • This mall has lots of affordable brands.... can shop here often... it has wonderful courts displaying the culture of many countries... it's beautiful... tourists should visit for attraction and locals can go on for shopping and dinning....
