Dubai Creek, Dubai

(4.2/5 based on 6,500+ reviews on the web)
Stroll along Dubai Creek, a natural feature around which much of the city has sprung up. Follow the boardwalk to admire sights of some of the city's most iconic buildings, or take a ride across to the other side for a new perspective on the stretch of water and the developments that line its banks. Hop on a water taxi to access the more traditional side of Dubai on the opposite bank, featuring may popular souks (open-air markets) and other cultural attractions--you'll see how the creek that once divided the city now, in many ways, brings it together. Dubai Creek is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Dubai Edition.

  • So calls markets! The Creek itself flows through the city circle, filled with sea water. Intensive movement: all the beeping, kopotjat.)) We crossed it on local boats on swinging very 10-12 persons: sitting sideways on the benches, backs to each other (it is important to sit down with the various parties to not capsize! On Board no fences! A little creepy, but quickly (so go local for colors descends. Can eat and little cold Court for tourists and more interesting move.

  • my hotel was directly opposite the Creek. I loved it here because everything was so close. It was only 1 Dirham to cross the Creek in a water taxi boat where the Old Dubai is found.  more »
  • Surely, you can't go to Dubai and did not visit the Creek, with its tourist Souk. It must be said, however, that is exactly the opposite of Dubai Burj Khalifa area ... the markets are frantic, oppressive sellers and turn away only after several denials. At least once to be seen, even to visit a place of character, but I personally do not like it so much. In about 25 minutes by metro you get Dubai Mall Station, using the Red Line and change at the junction with the Green Line and down to The Ras. At least the first time in Dubai, go for it.
