Get good deals from the Far East at Dragon Mart, the largest trading area for Chinese products outside of mainland China. Opened in 2004, the dragon-shaped indoor market stretches out for 1.2 km (0.7 mi), with an abundance of colorful and interestingly arranged stores selling electronics, clothes, footwear, and much more, with independent vendors and leading Chinese brands competing for your business. Haggling is the norm, particularly when purchasing in bulk, so make sure to negotiate. Put Dragon Mart at the forefront of your travel plans using our Dubai family vacation planner.

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.

  • wow this place is mad in a good way... lol There are two different Dragon Mart (1 & 2). depending on what you are looking to buy.. If you are after a good value bedding, curtains, LED lights then you will need to go to Dragon Mart 2, that's where you will find all shops that will custom make it on the same day. If you are after more like a shopping mall then visit Dragon Mark 1. however both very good and you will find everything you are looking for
  • Much cleaner and more modern than the original dragon mart. Good food court, good selection of stores. Good for items from hardware to home
  • A very very convenient Mall for ANY Shopper. As they say, "Pin to Plane" is the range of products available here - Bulk or Retail. One can find almost ANYTHING they are looking for, at the DRAGON MART. For a person on a visit to Dubai, at least 2 days of visits are recommended in order to explore in detail.
  • Dragon Mart is like a flea market/souk that sells mainly Chinese products. It is expansive and is divided into several sections dependent upon the items being sold. It's very easy to get lost here and you could also find yourself spending several hours shopping away -- bring some comfortable shoes to wear as you might be walking for 20km at some point! Over all, the stores are decent. There are some stores that are priced higher than others for the same goods sold at both (usually stores near the entrances are the pricey ones, so just walk in a little further and you might find what you're looking for at a better price). Bargaining is acceptable in some stores, but certain store owners can be strict. There may be store owners that also have an attitude or are difficult to communicate with -- which can be expected in this rather informal business setting. It is not advisable to purchase electronics here as there is no guarantee that these items will actually work: save buying tech for reputable electronics retailers.
  • Have been to this mall in February 2017, was really nice to view around and see that almost everything is available to buy. All of course made in China products. But it has grown over the period of time globally. Ample place for parking outside. Items are mostly cheap to mediocre costs available in the mall. Good crowd overall inside with lots of tourists hopping in as well. Can choose from a huge stock of items available.
