I guess this place really didn't take off the way the builders conceived it. But if you're in the area, spare 10 mins for it, no harm done. There's some good Ethiopean coffee available inside that you...  more »

I am not much of a museum type of person, but this place is special. As my friend came with a visit to Dubai, I had to plan some sightseeing. That day we roaming around Al Fahidi area (Dubai Museum, Bastakiya), and Coffee museum was a must do item in our list, as we were already in this neighborhood. The entrance is free, the building is small but lots of rooms with hundreds of exhibits related to coffee. The owner of the museum is a lovely man, unfortunately he didn't speak English much and my knowledge of Arabic is very poor :) You can not only try different types of coffee there, but also buy some to make it yourself at home, what we did (the choice was Ethiopian šŸ˜) So if you are a coffee lover, it a place is to be.

Amazing Museum of Coffee with various tools from 200 years for making coffee. You can find grinders, beans, pots, filters, coffee cooking devices, and tons of pictures for a easy understanding of coffee ritual.

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep ratesĀ suited to budget travelers.
