  • A great place to unwind before our after a long day. Run, cycle, or just walk around dedicated 1.5km running track of the cycling track encircling it. Also A venue for open air screenings, and a flea market during the winter months. Don't forget to observe the ducks around that have made the artificial lake their home.
  • This is a friendly and lovely place for family. I enjoyed jogging there every night, the running area carpet is really good and it has a peaceful grass place to do picnic.
  • A brilliant park. The running track is great, the kids play around is really cool. They have 6 aside football pitches and basket ball courts. Lots of room to relax. The organic market that is there on the weekend is brilliant
  • Al Barsha Pond Park is a beautiful and well maintained park in the centre of Barsha. It has a big artificial lake with boating, a 1.5km jogging track, cycling track, tennis courts, basketballs courts and nearly every type of outdoor sports infrastructure like exercise equipment, fitness machines, etc. There is a dedicated kiddies play area and has cycle karts for hire including small boats. It has public bathrooms and several fresh water fountains for drinking as well as a small shop and café. On Fridays and Saturday's there is a food market and on Saturday's also an Organic market. Friday's is an off day and the park is normally packed. There is ample parking on two opposite entrances. One can see the Al Barsha Mall and it is easily accessible from the far side. Dogs are not allowed and the grass area is perfect for picnics, birthday parties, etc. We used the park daily for training and there were several other group fitness activities also happening like aerobics, etc. The park reminded me very much of our Green Point Park in Cape Town which has similar features but not all.
  • Nice small park for family and friends. Ripe Market, Food trucks are part of week end activities [need to check the schedule]. Park has a walking track, basket ball, Tennis, Volleyball courts and a pond with boating...

Where to stay in Dubai

Dubai is a city of hotels, with most of the world's leading chains represented. Rooms remain expensive and luxurious, as most establishments cater to visitors with deeper pockets. You can still save money on accommodations if you look hard enough. Move away from the coast for more affordable backpacker hostels and self-service apartments, as well as less expensive hotel rooms where a lack of luxurious amenities and less appealing views keep rates suited to budget travelers.
