Visit the former home of the late founder of the nation at Al Ain Palace Museum. Built in 1910, the palace displays striking architecture, with large courtyards and tiered towers located within high palace walls. A museum since 1998, the palace showcases art contemporary to the rule of Sheikh Zayed, tells the story of his political and private biography, and details what life was like at the palace. Tour the grounds and enjoy the exhibits, which are set across multiple ornate majlis (rooms for receiving visitors). • One of the better museums here in the UAE, I've been to Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi. It's not that big but a lot of interesting things to see one thing that stand out is the old TV screen they have there, playing a very old film and the film taught a lot about the history of UAE and I love history. Wish they could update the display though. Went here with the family and they are not as interested as I am, but if you are a curious then definitely visit this place.
  • Nice place to learn something about the history of the country. The gardens are beautiful especially in the evening. Free entry.
  • Fantastic FREE museum - a great glimpse into the early days of Al Ain and UAE.
  • Nice place to visit for historic background on the city and the ruling family. Free entrance, beautiful gardens, historic family palace make this place a worthwhile visit in Al Ain. Good for around one hour.
